I have an ideal for how the maze form should be used. It requires a certain level of sensitivity to the experience of exploring a maze. I hate to see the maze form used as a gimmick or space-filler. I place mazes in this category that abuse the maze form in some manner. There are a number of possible infringements. Perhaps the maze was juxtaposed with a figure that bears little relation to the maze itself. Or perhaps a meta-maze element was introduced accidentally and rationalized after the fact.
